A340s AT HEATHROW AND GATWICK

Here are some of the A340s seen at the two airports.

KHALIFA AIRWAYS.....
Khalifa Airways was a passenger and cargo airline based in Algiers, Algeria which was founded in June 1999 by Rafik Khalifa.
The airline was liquidated by a French court on 10 July 2003 after it failed to make a 5 million Euro payment to creditors.

BWIA AIRWAYS......
British West Indian Airways was established on 27 November 1940 by New Zealander Lowell Yerex.
The company announced on September 8, 2006 that the airline would be shut down on December 31, 2006. All of the approximately 1700 employees were separated from the company but applied for new contracts with a new entity Caribbean Airlines.
